Grand Junction will be a busy place this Friday and Saturday during 50107 Summerfest.
Activities begin Friday at 5 pm with carnival rides, a barbecue served by the Pork Producers, yard games, a beer tent and entertainment by the Jesse Wilson Band.
Saturday activities start with a breakfast from 7 to 9 am at the Community Center and a 5K race/run at 8 am (registration at Fouch Agri Service).
A vendor show will be open from 9 am to 4 pm at the Community Center, with face painting all day and a pool fundraising lunch at 11:30.
A parade will step off from the corner of 15th and Bennett Sts at 10:30. The park will be the setting for a car show from 11 am to 2 pm.
An ice cream social, quilt show and bingo will be at the Presbyterian Church from 1 to 3 pm.
Pickleball, knocker balls, kickball, yard games, and bags are also on the agenda, with most activities at the school lot.
The Greene County Cattlemen will grill from 5 to 8 pm, followed by the Standing Hampton Band from 8 pm to midnight.
